Job summary

Mediacom Communications is looking for a Broadband Specialist I to perform new installations of cable television and broadband services. You will drive a company van, visit customer homes, and complete tasks from installation to service changes, while delivering excellent service and support.

The role involves working outdoors in varying weather, using tools and testing equipment, and performing related duties to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• General level of mechanical and consumer devices knowledge.
• Ability to interact and communicate with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Make customer drop installations from tap to antenna terminals in single or multi-unit dwellings.
• Perform new connects, reconnects, and service changes, including add outlets and equipment changes.
• Analyze picture quality and judge acceptability of delivered signal after installation.
• Read signal levels with field strength meter and adjust as needed.
