Job summary

Mediacom Communications seeks a Broadband Specialist I (Field Technician) to install and service cable television and broadband in customer homes. You will drive a company vehicle, perform installs and service changes, and handle various customer requests with a focus on quality and safety.

Candidate should be ready to learn, handle outdoor conditions, and work flexible hours. Training is provided; opportunities for advancement exist as you gain experience and complete self-guided training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• No prior experience required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Make customer drop installations from tap to antenna terminals in single and multi-unit dwellings.
• Perform new connects, reconnects, requested and non-pay disconnects; add outlets; install/remove converters.
• Install and maintain drop cables and ensure proper signal levels per system guidelines.
• Read signal levels with field strength meter and adjust as needed.
• Drive company vehicle and perform vehicle maintenance checks.
• Complete paperwork as required by management.
