LifePort LLC in Woodland, WA is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Lead to direct and coordinate complex aerospace projects from concept to delivery. This role requires strong project management, design, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will develop schedules in MS Project, validate designs, mentor junior engineers, and work with supply chain to select vendors while ensuring FAA/MIL standards are met.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace from ABET-accredited school.
• 10–15 years of experience in mechanical/aerospace engineering.
• Familiarity with FAA/military certification processes.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept to delivery within scope.
• Create and track schedules using MS Project or equivalent.
• Develop design concepts, models, and BOMs.

Job Details: Job Location: LifePort LLC - 1620 Heritage Street - Woodland , WA, Salary Range: $100000.00 - $130000.00Salary, Located in Woodland, WA, LifePort is the leading manufacturer of medical transportation and interior products as well as ballistic armor protection systems for fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Position Summary: This position directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering project within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions:

• New product designs, from conceptual through detail design phases
• Create and track schedules using Microsoft Project, or equivalent
• Manage projects from initial drawing release to liaison support and product delivery
• Maintain metrics to track budget and schedule requirements
• Manage prototype construction and testing
• Work with supply chain to identify and develop vendors
• Create and present concepts/products to internal and external customers
• Create test plans, conduct testing and documenting results
• Technical presentations to internal and external customers
• Product definition and requirements development and creation of statement of work (SOW)
• Creating and validating new designs (modeling/drafting/BOM creation)
• Materials research and selection to support design requirements
• Qualification test plan/report creation and management
• Manufacturing liaison support
• Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages.
• Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications
• Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
• Develop and maintain engineering standard work
• Acts as a mentor and provides feedback for lower level engineers
• Participates in peer technical reviews and final design sign-off
• Participate in project bids and proposals for bid hours and technical compliance

Education, Certifications and Experience: BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace from ABET accredited institution 10–15 years’ experience
