Job summary

LifePort in Woodland, WA seeks a skilled wood fabrication technician to set up and operate woodworking machines and assemble aircraft interior components and high-grade furniture. You will read computer drawings, trim and fit parts, bore holes, and install hardware to ensure precise assemblies.

Responsibilities include adhering to safety policies, maintaining quality, and collaborating with team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 1 year related experience or training.
• Ability to perform basic math and interpret bar graphs.
• Proficiency with Outlook, ERP software, and time/attendance systems.

Responsibilities

• Trim components for snug fit and bores holes for inserts/screws.
• Glue, fit, and clamp parts to form assemblies; install hardware.

Job Location: Woodland , WA 98674, Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly, Located in Woodland, WA, LifePort is the leading manufacturer of medical transportation and interior products as well as ballistic armor protection systems for fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Position Overview

Sets up and operates variety of woodworking machines and uses various hand tools to fabricate and repair aircraft interior components and high grade furniture by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions

It is essential for all employees to adhere to Company policies.

• Work off computer drawings for articles to be fabricated
• Sets up and operates woodworking machines such as power saws, jointer to cut as required
• Trims component parts of joints to ensure snug fit
• Bores holes for inserts, pins and screws
• Glues, fits, and clamps parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit
• Drives fasteners into joints at designated places to reinforce joints
• Installs hardware such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls
• Other duties may be assigned

Preferred Education, Skills and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

Proficient with Outlook, ERP Manufacturing software and time and attendance payroll systems

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.
