Job summary

LifePort in Woodland, WA seeks an Account Manager to grow sales in targeted markets by delivering exceptional customer service and leveraging product capabilities.

You will manage key accounts, qualify opportunities, prepare bids, and present to executives, with up to 50% travel. A Bachelor's degree and 5 years aerospace/defense experience are required.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with customer base by providing excellent customer service and listening to customer requirements and needs
  • Cold call from a prescribed list of generated contacts, both commercial and government.
  • Qualify business/government contacts and establish relationships.
  • Interact directly with sales manager and engineers.
  • Make sales presentations to C-level corporate executives and senior military personnel.
  • Calculate bids/quotes for presentation and marketing to client.
  • Attend and manage trade show activity.
  • Work with factory to meet customer needs.

Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 Base+Commission/year

Located in Woodland, WA, LifePort is the leading manufacturer of medical transportation and interior products as well as ballistic armor protection systems for fixed and rotary wing aircraft. From large multi-aircraft projects to small custom projects, LifePort supplies the industry’s largest aerospace OEMs and end users with the finest aviation solutions today.

Position Summary:

Manage and develop customer accounts to drive sales growth in targeted markets. Build long-term trusting customer relationships by delivering exceptional customer service, knowledge of industry and internal product capabilities. Track key account metrics to forecast business. Oversee all account management, including negotiating contracts to maximize profitability.

Essential Functions:
  • Build and maintain relationships with customer base by providing excellent customer service and listening to customer requirements and needs
  • Cold call from a prescribed list of generated contacts, both commercial and government.
  • Qualify business/government contacts and establish relationships.
  • Ability to absorb/process vast amounts of product information, and understand the products manufactured by entire enterprise.
  • Interact directly with sales manager and engineers.
  • Make sales presentations to C-level corporate executives and senior military personnel.
  • Calculate bids/quotes for presentation and marketing to client.
  • Possess effective time management skills and able to juggle multiple clients and provide exceptional customer service, support, and follow-up.
  • Attend and manage trade show activity.
  • Work with factory to meet customer needs.
Qualifications

  • Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative
  • Must be proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience in ERP/MRP systems
  • Experience in CRM / Infusion Soft or other customer data bases
  • Experience in Excel or pricing software
  • This position requires up to 50% of travel by car, plane, and train as needed.
Education, Certifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or related technical degree
  • 5 years of aerospace/defense or related experience

Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.
