Job summary

CarMax is hiring a Business Operations Associate in San Jose to support store operations, process sales and appraisals, and ensure accurate documentation. You will handle cash, audits, and communications with customers and teams, contributing to a transparent and efficient store environment.

The role requires strong data accuracy, organization, and the ability to work varied shifts, with opportunities to train and mentor others while upholding CarMax policies and EH&S requirements.

Qualifications

• Able to read, interpret, and accurately record data for compliance and reporting.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a deadline-driven store environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry systems; good verbal and written communication.
• Commitment to confidentiality and integrity; able to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers and guiding them through paperwork.
• Process and audit paperwork for retail and wholesale sales, including contracts and DMV documents.
• Manage auction and appraisal transactions and ensure proper documentation for funding.
• Handle cash management tasks and deposits; maintain security protocols.
• Train and mentor new associates and support store operations across departments.
• Perform clerical duties and reconcile missing information with accuracy.
