Job summary

Trinity Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Business Development Representative to start in inside sales—cold calling and pursuing leads for new customers to ship with Trinity. You will gradually become the account manager, continually servicing a growing book of transportation needs.

You will enjoy commission on top of base salary and join a team that values relationships, negotiation, and excellent communication. This on-site role includes a strong benefits package and room for advancement.

Qualifications

• Superior interpersonal and communication skills; problem solving and decision making.
• Previous experience in a customer facing role preferred but not required.
• Experience in logistics preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business data and reports, as well as ability to write reports and professional business correspondence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with CRM and BI systems helpful and generally strong computer skills.
• Ability to learn new software and computer systems.
• Disciplined organizational and multi-tasking skills required with a strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrates the ability to connect with others on a personal level to create an openness and trust in the relationship whether with the team members, customers, or stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Inside sales activities including cold calling and pursuing leads to ship with Trinity.
• As you build your book of business you will morph into the customer's account manager.
• Continually service the customer’s growing transportation needs.
• Collaborate with team to meet sales targets and promote Trinity services.
• Utilize CRM and BI tools to track leads and performance.
