Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, is seeking a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements. You’ll work with Applications Engineering to demonstrate interoperability, low-signature performance, and field-readiness of our StreamCaster radios across tactical environments.

The role requires 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech, a US citizenship with SECRET clearance, and up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field with 2-5 years in systems engineering or defense tech.
• Security clearance: Active SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for government contracts.
• Background check and drug test are requirements for employment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Support planning, network configuration, and field trial execution.
• Collaborate to verify architectures are technically sound via testing data.
• Maintain alignment with Business Development for technical needs.
• Prepare demonstrations for low-signature, resilient tactical edge needs.
• Contribute input for RFI/RFP responses and proposal support.
• Conduct market research for potential integrations with partners.
• Engage with USSOCOM stakeholders and component commands.
• Translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs.
