Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements. You will work with Applications Engineering to demonstrate interoperability and field-readiness of StreamCaster MANET radios across tactical environments.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech, with exposure to SDRs, IP routing, and RF test gear.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles.
Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
Security Clearance: Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
Citizen due to clients under U.S. practical experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux environments, or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++) for test automation.
Ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.
Outdoor environment for large-scale field trials and tactical demonstrations.
Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens while performing tests or demonstrations in rugged field environments.
Lift equipment up to 50 lbs. for the set-up of complex tactical network demonstrations and testing.

Mansioni

Bridge technical radio frequency capabilities with USSOCOM customer requirements and emerging trends.
Support USSOCOM acquisition stakeholders and Component Commands.
Assist in demonstrating technical capabilities, interoperability, low-signature performance, and field-readiness of StreamCaster MANET radios.
Assist in building and presenting technical demonstrations tailored to low-signature, resilient, and tactical edge operational needs of USSOCOM and its component commands.
Perform market research to identify potential integrations with industry partners and test end-to-end network architectures.
Travel up to 50% to customer sites, research laboratories, and strategic field-testing environments.
