Motorola Solutions, through its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer for USSOCOM. You will bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements, coordinating with Applications Engineering and Business Development to demonstrate field-ready StreamCaster radios across multi-domain environments.

Travel up to 50% with potential 100% remote work based on location. Requirements include a degree in EE/CE/CS or related field with 2–5 years in defense tech, SDR familiarity,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Network engineering or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years experience in systems engineering, tech business development, or defense tech.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing, or tactical comms.
• Familiar with RF test equipment like spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• All employment contingent on background check and drug test.

Responsabilités

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map operational needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan networks, configure systems, and run field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with team to verify architectures are technically sound.
• Coordinate with Business Development to meet strategic priorities.
• Prepare technical demos for low-signature, resilient tactical edge needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and market research.
• Engage with USSOCOM stakeholders and test end-to-end network architectures.
• Translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs and track progress.
