Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer, USSOCOM, to bridge RF capabilities with SOCOM requirements. You will support acquisition stakeholders, demonstrate interoperability and field-readiness of StreamCaster MANET radios across multi-domain environments and handle up to 50% travel; remote work is possible depending on location.

Reporting to the Director of Applications Engineering, you will help translate operational needs into product roadmap

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles.
• High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing USSOCOM capability gaps and map needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Support planning, network configuration, and field trials.
• Collaborate to verify architectures are technically sound.
• Align with Business Development on technical needs and priorities.
• Prepare technical demonstrations for USSOCOM and components.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses.
• Travel to customer sites and labs as needed.
