Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements. You will work with the Applications Engineering team to demonstrate interoperability and field-readiness of StreamCaster radios across domain environments.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in defense tech, knowledge of SDRs, RF testing, and TCP/IP networking, plus the ability to travel up to 50%. A US citizen with SECRET clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field; 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech roles.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsabilités

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and define requirements for tactical radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and run field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Engineering and BD teams to validate architectures with testing data.
• Support BD with technical needs and align work with strategic priorities.
• Develop technical demos for USSOCOM and component commands and contribute to RFI/RFP responses.
• Conduct market research for potential integrations and test end-to-end networks.
• Engage with USSOCOM stakeholders and translate field feedback into roadmap inputs.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites, labs, and field tests; remote work option may be available.
