Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements. You’ll support field trials, TC planning, and demonstrations of the StreamCaster MANET radios across multi-domain environments.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in defense tech, SDRs/IP routing knowledge, and experience with Linux, Python, or C++. Up to 50% travel; remote work possible depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsabilités

• Assist in analyzing USSOCOM capability gaps and mapping needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and field trials.
• Collaborate to verify architectures are technically sound.
• Maintain alignment with Business Development to support technical needs.
• Assist in technical demonstrations for low-signature, resilient edge networks.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and proposals.
• Perform market research for integrations and end-to-end architectures.
• Travel up to 50% for field sites and labs.
