Job summary

Motorola Solutions, Silvus Technologies unit, seeks a Business Development Engineer for US Marine Corps engagements. You bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps requirements, supporting acquisition stakeholders and field demonstrations.

You will travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs, with a remote-work option depending on location; collaborate with engineering and business development to shape solutions and respond to RFIs/RFPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing USMC operational priorities and mapping requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support planning, network configuration, and field trials.
• Collaborate to leverage testing data and verify architectures.
• Maintain alignment with Business Development for technical needs.
• Assist in building technical demonstrations for expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses.
• Perform market research for potential integrations with industry partners.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval warfare centers.
• Translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs and track progress.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and customer meetings.
