Job summary

First Student is seeking a Dispatcher to manage bus routes and schedules, ensuring on-time performance and clear communication with drivers and monitors. The role emphasizes safety, service quality, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

The Dispatcher will handle high-volume calls, advise Operations Supervisors on scheduling issues, and support drivers with timely, accurate information. A High School diploma and radio dispatch knowledge are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all routes and scheduling of buses.

• Acts as primary liaison with major contracted customers.
• May handle charter reservations, billing, or driver payroll.
• Provides solutions to drop-off and pick-up problems.
