Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a technically skilled engineer to design, configure, and operate complete building control systems including fire, security, and other subsystems. You will work with field teams to ensure quality and timely delivery, and develop software to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities include creating diagrams, sequences of operations, BOMs, and schedules; coordinating submittals, equipment orders, and installation; and assisting in commissioning and client training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and minimum 3 years' experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry.
• Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems.
• Experience with JCI software programming and building sub-systems integration.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Designs and configures complex building control systems per contract documents.
• Develops software programs and tests to operate the system.
• Prepares drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
• Coordinates material orders and factory-mounting processes.
• Assists with site commissioning and handover deliverables.
• Communicates progress and issues to project stakeholders.
• Supports owner/operator training and value engineering.
• Maintains safety standards and travels as required.
