Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced engineer to design and implement building control systems including fire and security subsystems. You will develop software, conduct commissioning, and ensure system performance per contract requirements.

Responsibilities include creating drawings, schedules, coordinating with field teams, and supporting installation and operations. Willingness to travel regularly is essential, with safety standards emphasized throughout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 3 years’ experience in construction or HVAC.
• Demonstrated knowledge of control theory and building automation systems.
• Experience with integration of low voltage subsystems and industry protocols (LON, BACnet).

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and operate complete building control systems including fire and security subsystems.
• Develop complex software, run commissioning, and ensure proper operation of the building control system.
• Prepare submittals, drawings, and equipment schedules for installation and client communication.
• Coordinate material orders, factory mounting, and system validation with project teams.
