Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled Building Controls Engineer to design, configure, and service complex building automation systems for diverse facilities. You will develop software, create diagrams, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure reliable operation and on-time execution.

You will also validate system performance, advise on cost-effective solutions, and train owners/operators while maintaining safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum eight years' experience in construction, service, or HVAC.
• Strong knowledge of control theory and building automation systems.
• Experience integrating low-voltage building subsystems using protocols (LON, BACnet).
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Designs, configures, and services building control systems for facilities.
• Develops software programs and tests to ensure proper operation of building control systems.
• Prepares drawings, bill of materials, and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
• Coordinates with subcontractors, sales, and service teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensures safety standards and provides site training for owners/operators.
