Job summary
Johnson Controls is seeking a building controls engineer to design, configure and commission complete building control systems including fire, security and other low-voltage subsystems. You will ensure quality, timeliness, and efficient operation while supporting field installation teams and subcontractors.
Required is an associate or technical degree with at least three years of relevant HVAC controls experience, knowledge of control theory and building automation, and ability to travel to job
Qualifications
- Associate or technical degree required, or equivalent work experience in HVAC controls.
- Three or more years of experience in HVAC controls or building automation.
- Strong knowledge of control theory and building subsystems from design to commissioning.
- Experience integrating low-voltage subsystems using industry protocols.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure and operate complete building control systems (fire, security, low voltage subsystems).
- Develop diagrams, sequences of operations, bill of materials and schematics.
- Develop and test software programs to operate systems per project requirements.
- Coordinate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
- Assist in commissioning and validation of system functionality and provide field change information.
