Job summary

Texas State University seeks a budget administrator to monitor and manage department budgets and provide data entry and technical support to account managers. You will handle market/budget processes, reconcile transactions, and support faculty travel and hiring workflows.

The role requires strong organization, accuracy, and knowledge of SAP, Concur, and PaymentWorks. You’ll work within the Office of Financial Services on a busy campus, contributing to efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • Basic math, editing, and time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication across administrative units.
  • At least three years of reliable experience in a professional office environment.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise correspondence.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective records and files.
  • Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, hiring, and purchasing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute Marketplace orders in SAP.
  • Assist faculty with travel in Concur.
  • Assist with hiring of faculty and staff.
  • Reconcile Goods Receipts to items received on purchase orders.
  • Contact vendors about damaged, lost/late orders.
  • Set up vendors in PaymentWorks system.
  • Validate invoices to purchase orders and Goods Receipts/research discrepancies.
  • Research info on promo items and request quotes.
  • Attend Financial Services meetings.
  • Assist in the coordination of special events and meetings.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Job Description
