Job summary

Unum in Chattanooga, TN seeks an entry-level service professional to handle broker compensation tasks and provide high-quality service to brokers and partners. This role focuses on regulatory compliance, commission inquiries, and strong relationship management across Unum’s product lines.

You will coordinate communications, educate stakeholders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate broker service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience.
• Customer service professional with experience required.
• Strong understanding of the marketplace, value of brokers, and challenges of plan administrators.
• Proven success in creative problem solving and consultative partnership.
• Ability to make effective decisions with minimal support.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with brokers and internal partners.
• Operate in a fast-paced service environment with urgency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across audiences.

Responsibilities

• Educate on regulatory requirements and broker compensation programs across lines of business.
• Resolve broker compensation issues independently and thoroughly.
• Manage broker licensing, appointing, and contracting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and related processes.
• Collaborate with other teams to resolve cases and prevent issues.
• Build regional office relationships with Unum sales teams.
• Communicate clearly to customers and internal partners.
