Job summary

Silver Star Communications is seeking an on-site field technician to install and maintain broadband services and customer premise equipment. Responsibilities include CPE installation, LAN and Wi-Fi setup, NID/ONT installation, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

You will troubleshoot issues from the central office to the demarcation point and respond to tickets promptly while representing the company in the local community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 2 years of experience required.
• Valid Wyoming or Idaho Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain services on the distribution network from the Central Office switch to the demarcation point.
• Perform setup, testing and maintenance for CPE installation of POTS, DSL, and broadband services.
• Install and maintain CPE LAN and Wi‑Fi networks.
• Install and maintain NID and ONT devices.
• Troubleshoot from MDF to demarcation point including CPE.
• Respond to trouble tickets within company standards and assist afterhours locates.
