Job summary

Antietam Broadband is seeking a Maintenance & Communications Technician to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot broadband, CATV, and fiber-optic systems for residential and commercial customers. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and customer service while expanding our network infrastructure.

The position is based in our Hagerstown, MD office, with a Sunday–Thursday schedule and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in broadband, CATV, fiber optics, telecommunications, or a related technical field.
• Advanced knowledge of RF and IP technologies, HFC design, DOCSIS (3.1 preferred), and video networking/IP-based services.
• Experience with optical/test equipment including OTDR, optical power meter, spectrum analyzer, and fiber scope.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair broadband, CATV, and fiber-optic systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on BB/CATV and HFC plant.
• Troubleshoot outages and customer service issues.
• Install/maintain fiber drops, interior fiber wiring, ONTs, and customer equipment.
• End-to-end fiber splicing for new construction and activations.
• Test, balance, and power supply maintenance of systems.
