Job summary

Frontier Communications seeks a Fiber Network Field Technician to install and maintain fiber services from the customer-serving terminal to the home, including activation of the ONT and configuring routers and set-top boxes. You will interact with customers to ensure satisfaction and assist with related PC setup.

The role requires the ability to read schematics, use test equipment, and follow safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Valid California driver’s license (class C) and ability to drive manual transmission vehicles where required.
• Experience or eligibility for telecommunications field roles and related experience is preferred.
• Color vision and the ability to distinguish tones must be demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber network services from the customer terminal to the premise.
• Install/configure routers and set-top boxes; assist with customer PC software and ensure proper PC configuration.
• Activate the ONT and coordinate inside wiring and fiber jumpers at the hub; interface with customers and ensure satisfaction.
