Job summary

Vtx-Communications-LLC is seeking a field technician to install FTTH services, perform fiber splicing, and troubleshoot access networks. You will configure customer premise equipment and ensure reliable broadband delivery, including Fixed Wireless components where required.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and responsive service restoration, with occasional out-of-town assignments and emergency standby duties.

Qualifications

• Accurate documentation of installations, tests and splicing records.
• Ability to read fiber maps, splice diagrams and staking sheets.
• Comfort with testing equipment and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install FTTH services, ONTs, routers and customer premises gear.
• Perform fiber splicing in aerial, buried and underground environments.
• Interpret maps and diagrams to complete installations accurately.
• Troubleshoot fiber, copper and wireless issues using testing tools.
• Restore service during outages and assist in standby rotations.
• Document work with photos and detailed notes for records.
