Job summary

Frontier Communications is seeking a Fiber Network Field Technician to perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber services from the customer-serving terminal to the premises. The role includes configuring routers and set-top boxes, assisting with PC software, and activating fiber equipment at the hub, ensuring customer satisfaction and proper handoff.

Applicants must meet qualified experience, possess a California driver’s license, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber network services.
• Ability to interpret work orders and install customer equipment.
• Must pass background check and possess a valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Installs, removes, rearranges, programs, tests, troubleshoots and maintains fiber network services.
• Installs and configures routers and set top boxes and assists with customer PC configuration.
• Maintains outside and inside fiber equipment at distribution hub and activates ONT.
• Interacts with customers to ensure satisfaction and provide training on new equipment.
