Apex Engineering Group is seeking a Structural-Bridge Engineer to join our team. The role involves working on bridge and structural projects from preliminary through design and construction, with flexible office locations and a preference for our Minnetonka office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, structural).
• 2+ years of bridge engineering experience.
• Ability to become a licensed structural engineer in the primary practice state within two years.
• Experience with transportation projects and public agencies in Minnesota and North Dakota preferred.
• Experience with in-service bridge inspection bonus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows/Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented and self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform bridge engineering calculations, analysis, and design tasks.
• Independently write technical specifications, reports, and correspondence.
• Assemble plans for agencies to meet standards.
• Perform independent checking of co-workers’ design work.
• Collaborate with technicians to assemble complete engineering plans.
• Meet deadlines and complete projects on time.
• Attend in-person meetings with clients and project teams.
• Travel and occasional out-of-town stays may be required.
