Apex Engineering Group is seeking a Structural Bridge Engineer to join our Minnetonka team. The role focuses on delivering bridge and structural project designs from preliminary through construction stages, working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment.

The position requires 2+ years of bridge engineering, strong communication, and the ability to work independently and with clients. Location is flexible with preference for Minnetonka offices; travel and meetings are required as part

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, structural), with 2+ years of bridge engineering experience.
• Ability to become licensed to practice structural engineering for bridges within two years of hire is preferred.
• Experience with transportation projects and public agencies in Minnesota/North Dakota is preferred.
• Experience with in-service bridge inspection would be a bonus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows/Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be detail oriented, self-motivated with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• A valid driver’s license is required or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform bridge engineering calculations, analysis, and design tasks.
• Independently write technical specifications, reports, and correspondence for diverse audiences.
• Assemble plans for agencies to meet standards.
• Perform independent checking of others' design work.
• Coordinate with technicians to assemble complete engineering plans.
• Meet deadlines and project timelines.
• Attend client and project meetings in person.
