Job summary

Apex Engineering Group is seeking a Structural-Bridge Engineer to join a flexible-location team. The role focuses on bridge design from preliminary through construction, reporting to the Lead Structural Bridge Engineer, and participating in client meetings.

The candidate should have civil/structural engineering experience, be prepared to pursue licensure, and work across multiple offices with some travel. Strong communication and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, structural) and 2+ years of bridge engineering experience.
• Ability to become a licensed structural engineer for bridge design within two years of hire.
• Experience with transportation projects and public agencies in MN and ND.
• Proficient with Windows/Office products; strong written and verbal communication.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform bridge engineering calculations, analysis, and design tasks.
• Independently write technical specifications, reports, and correspondence.
• Assemble plans for agencies to meet standards and perform design checking.
• Collaborate with technicians to produce complete engineering plans.
• Attend in-person client and project meetings and travel as needed.
• Support proposals for project pursuits with project managers and leaders.
• Follow safety policies and company handbook with high attention to detail.
• Work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
