Job summary

Apex Engineering Group in St. Cloud, MN is seeking a Structural-Bridge Engineer to contribute to bridge and structural projects from prelim through construction. The role supports a flexible location with preference for the Minnetonka office and requires attendance at key meetings.

The engineer will work independently and with a team to develop designs, write specifications, and communicate with multiple audiences. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering with 2+ years of bridge experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Windows/Office products.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform bridge engineering calculations, analysis, and design tasks.
• Prepare technical specifications, reports, and correspondence for diverse audiences.
• Assemble plans for multiple agencies to meet standards.
• Independently check design work of teammates.
• Collaborate with technicians to produce complete engineering plans.
• Attend in-person client and project meetings as required.
• Travel/out-of-town stays may be required; overtime during deadlines.
