Job summary

Apex Engineering Group is seeking a Structural-Bridge Engineer to join our team. The role supports bridge and structural projects from preliminary design through construction at flexible locations, with preference for the Minnetonka office.

You will independently contribute to design efforts, write specifications, and participate in client meetings while reporting to the Lead Structural Bridge Engineer. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• 2+ years bridge engineering experience.
• Willing to become licensed in primary practice state within 2 years.
• Experience with transportation projects in Minnesota/North Dakota preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform bridge-related calculations, analysis and design.
• Write technical specifications, reports, and correspondence.
• Assemble plans for agencies to meet standards.
• Check designs prepared by other team members.
• Collaborate with technicians to assemble comprehensive plans.
• Attend in-person client and project meetings.
