Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Associate Bridge Inspection, Structural Engineer to join the Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team in New England, with offices in Boston, Worcester, Glastonbury, and Providence. The role involves a mix of fieldwork and office tasks, contributing to bridge and tunnel inspections and load ratings.

Ideal candidates have a structural or civil engineering degree, 1–3 years of relevant experience, and a drive to advance in transportation engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering.
• Interest in structures, transportation, or related field and desire to grow skills.
• Must be physically able to perform field work and work in varied environments.
• On-site 50% and field 50% work balance.
• Must have valid driver’s license and MVR check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with office software and general technical writing.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Join Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on various inspection projects.
• Collaborate on Bridge, Tunnel & Ancillary inspections.
• Assist in developing plans/sketches using AutoCAD.
• Support field work, project research, and preliminary design calculations.
• Contribute to cost proposals and scope of work documents.
• Maintain project documentation and compliance with safety policies.
