WSP is seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader, Structural Engineer to join our Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team in New England, including Boston, Worcester, Glastonbury, and Providence. The role blends field work and office responsibilities, with leadership growth and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of bridge, tunnel or related inspection/design experience.
• Engineer in Training Certification (PE preferred).
• Proficient knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and related project work.
• Strong interest in structures and transportation.
• Physically capable of extensive field work, nights, adverse weather and travel.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engineering/non-engineering audiences.
• Ability to work independently and guide junior team members.
• Advanced proficiency with technical writing and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Work with our Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on a variety of inspection projects.
• Lead Bridge, Tunnel & Ancillary inspections as Team Leader.
• Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections.
• Assist in preparation of Bridge & Tunnel Load Ratings.
• Assist with development of plans/sketches using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project work.
• Provide guidance and leadership to entry-level engineers.
• Support project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Help prepare cost proposals and scope of work documents.
