Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Associate Bridge Inspection, Structural Engineer to join our Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team serving New England with offices in Boston, Worcester, Glastonbury, Providence.

You will work on inspection projects, help develop load ratings, use AutoCAD, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Some field work, travel may be required, and a valid license is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in bridge, tunnel or ancillary inspection or design.
• Ability to perform field work including heights, night work, and adverse weather.
• Valid driver's license and motor vehicle record check.
• Willingness for up to 50% field time.
• Strong communication to engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Experience with MS Office.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on inspection projects.
• Assist in preparation of Bridge & Tunnel Load Ratings.
• Develop plans/sketches using AutoCAD.
• Support cost proposals and scope of work documents.
• Maintain project documentation.
• Learn basic principles of Bridge and Transportation Engineering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Perform field work and preliminary design calculations.
• Adhere to company safety policies.
