Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Associate Bridge Inspection, Structural Engineer to join our New England Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team with offices in Boston, MA and nearby locations. The role combines field inspections with office design work, including AutoCAD sketches and cost proposals.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Structural or Civil Engineering, has 1–3 years in infrastructure inspection or design, and is prepared for 50% field and 50% office work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in bridge, tunnel or ancillary inspection or design.
• Interest in structures/transportation and advancing skills with WSP’s projects.
• Ability to perform field work including heights, adverse weather, and night work.
• Occasional travel may be required depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on inspection projects.
• Contribute to Bridge, Tunnel & Ancillary Inspections as a team member.
• Assist in development of plans/sketches using AutoCAD.
• Support project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
