Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to complete fittings and alterations to high standards while delivering superior customer service. You will work with store teams to ensure a seamless shopping experience and bridal alterations that meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities include guiding customers through gown fittings, promoting alteration services, and maintaining a clean, organized alterations room. Prior sewing and POS experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent degree.
• 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
• Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment.
• Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm in person, over the phone, and online.
• Use systems to manage customer flow and deliver five-star customer experience.
• Maintain service levels by being prepared, welcoming, and meeting customers’ emotional and practical needs.
• Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at one time and support store goals for five-star service.
• Address customer concerns with confidence and escalate when needed.
• Explain how alterations contribute to dress perfection and promote alteration services.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization.
• Maintain store standards to support a flawless shopping experience.
• Inspect garments altered/steamed/pressed for pristine condition before delivery.
