Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to complete fittings and alterations to high standards and to support store goals. You will greet customers, advise on gown fit, and coordinate with stylists to close sales while maintaining a flawless alterations area.

The role emphasizes friendly customer service, sewing and alterations skills, and adherence to store standards. Prior bridal alterations experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years retail experience in apparel or specialty store environment preferred.
• Prior sewing experience required, bridal and/or special occasion production experience a plus.
• Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats and in person, communicates clearly and concisely adapting style to suit customers by problem solving, excellent phone skills and resolving conflict.
• Use all systems to manage the customer flow to deliver five-star customer experience.
• Maintain all service levels by being prepared, welcoming and meeting the needs of all customers, including operational checklist tasks and emotional/practical needs.
• Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at once and contribute to Five-Star Customer Service.
• Address customer concerns with confidence and know when to escalate to leadership.
• Explain how alterations can improve the dress for events and promote alteration services and personalization options.
