Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to complete fittings and alterations to high standards. The role involves delivering five-star customer service, advising on gown fit, and coordinating with stylists to close sales.

The ideal candidate has sewing experience, retail apparel exposure, and comfort with POS systems. You will maintain an organized alterations room and uphold store standards to ensure a flawless shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
• Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment.
• Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm in person, over the phone, or virtually, and resolve conflicts with clear communication.
• Manage customer flow using systems to deliver five-star service.
• Maintain store standards and meet customer needs through prepared, welcoming assistance and problem solving.
• Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at once and support store Five-Star goals.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization.
• Oversee alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing and spot cleaning to standard.
• Ensure alterations room is clean, organized, and compliant with Dress Code Policy.
• Respond promptly with product and service information; build long-term customer relationships.
• Process special orders and pickups with accuracy; ensure first quality standards for merchandise.
