Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Breakdown Coordinator in a 24/7 environment to ensure timely dispatch of service providers and seamless customer communication. You will assess events, verify authorization, and assign the nearest qualified provider to handle repairs while keeping customers informed of ETA and any delays.

The role requires dispatching experience, multitasking, and knowledge of the automotive service landscape.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in dispatching for breakdowns or tire service for medium to heavy duty vehicles; a different combination such as an advanced degree or certification or 5 years of related experience is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assess and assign all open events.
• Verify proper authorization to dispatch the event.
• Assign the nearest service provider to perform requested repairs.
• Advise customer of ETA and follow requirements.
• Inform supervisor on duty of delays or problems with ETA or repairs.
• Address problems and customer inquiries as they arise.
