Job summary

Sazerac Company is seeking a Market Development Representative to drive volume and distribution for our brands across a dynamic spirits portfolio. You will partner with vibrant on-premise locations within your assigned territory to connect consumers with their favorite brands and spark excitement at events, tastings, and promotions.

In this role you will craft growth strategies, educate customers on trends, and collaborate with distributors to optimize in-outlet execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required or preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of sales experience in alcohol-beverage or CPG industries; on-premise experience preferred.
• Results-driven with proven volume objectives and ability to secure new points of distribution and promotions.
• Demonstrated success using sales data analytics to drive results and identify trends.
• Mobility with valid driver's license and ability to travel within territory.
• Schedule flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings/weekends.
• Residence in or near the territory; ability to cover business expenses promptly.
• Ability to obtain a solicitor’s permit in any state.

Responsibilities

• Craft solutions for growth by boosting business for assigned accounts and increasing market share for Sazerac brands.
• Build brand equity by educating customers using consumer and category trends to drive sales.
• Lead distributors to support in-outlet selling and execution.
• Help achieve volume objectives for the diverse portfolio.
• Design and execute programs for distribution, merchandising, displays, and retail promotions.
• Develop mutually valuable rapport with assigned customers and understand their key needs.
• Communicate effectively between key customers, wholesalers, and internal teams.
• Monitor KPIs to ensure goals are met.
