Job summary

Sazerac is seeking a Market Development Representative to drive off-premise sales across grocery, convenience, and liquor stores. You will partner with distributors, implement growth strategies, and build strong customer relationships to expand brand presence in your territory.

The role emphasizes coordinating with customers and internal teams to meet distribution, merchandising, and promotional goals while traveling to multiple accounts within the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience, or a sales internship in consumer goods.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends).
• Strong planning & organizational skills are required.
• Willingness to travel.
• Must be able to obtain a relevant solicitor’s permit in any state.
• Candidate must reside in or near the territory.
• Must be able to personally pay or reimburse business expenses.

Responsibilities

• Crafting Solutions for Growth: Implement and manage solutions to boost business for assigned accounts.
• Brand Building: Use trends to educate customers and grow sales.
• Distribution: Lead distributors with in-store selling and account execution.
• Volume Objectives: Help achieve volume targets for core brands.
• Strategic Programs: Execute programs delivering distribution, merchandising, and promotions.
• Rapport Building: Develop mutually valuable relationships with customers.
• Communication & Collaboration: Serve as the communication lead with key customers and wholesalers.
• KPI Monitoring: Track KPIs to ensure goals are met.
