Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union in Lowell, MA is seeking a Branch Manager to lead the teller staff, shape a positive sales and service culture, and help members reach their financial goals.

You will supervise teller line operations, coach performance, handle scheduling including alternating Saturdays, and ensure security procedures are followed. The role requires cash handling experience and the ability to obtain NMLS Certification; the schedule is 40 hours weekly with some Saturday coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior cash handling experience.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Technical skills (Windows, Microsoft Office).
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain NMLS Certification.
• Bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise teller line staff, coach, hire, and evaluate performance.
• Provide branch coverage on Saturdays and ensure security procedures.
• Coach staff to meet sales referral goals and educate members on self-service options.
• Oversee daily teller operations, cash handling, and balancing.
• Respond to member complaints in a timely manner.
• Perform Teller duties and process routine transactions.
• Perform MSR duties and obtain Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) authority as needed.
• Audit membership applications and loan documents.
• Provide coverage for other branch areas as needed.
• Identify process improvements and efficiencies.
