Job summary

RB Global is seeking a Branch Operations Assistant to join the Yard Operations team at our South Bend facility. The role involves supporting branch inquiries, clerical tasks, and assisting with yard activities to ensure smooth auctions.

You will record vehicle information, prepare vehicles for sale, and perform loader operation as needed, reporting to the Branch Supervisor and Branch Manager. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven problem solving and resolution abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and team members.
• Willingness to learn forklift operation within 90 days.
• General mechanical knowledge of vehicles and equipment.
• Experience in equipment rental or construction industry preferred.
• Basic automotive repair skills preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Awareness of safety hazards around heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support and handle inquiries via mail, phone, or in person.
• Process orders, data entry, and reference pricing information.
• Assist with yard functions and loader operation as needed.
• Record and manage vehicle information for incoming inventory.
• Prepare vehicles for sale and maintain appearance of vehicles.
• Handle documentation for auction day and obtain required approvals.
• Follow established procedures under supervisor guidance.
• Assist visitors and direct them to the appropriate contact.
• Perform clerical duties and support branch operations.
• Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
