Job summary

Ritchie Bros. is seeking a Branch Operations Assistant for our yard operations team. You will handle customer inquiries, process orders and data, and maintain vehicle records during the auction process.

You will assist with yard functions, drive loaders, and ensure vehicles are clean and ready for sale. The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a willingness to learn forklift operation within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Able to work independently and resolve problems effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with customers and staff.
• Willing to learn forklift operation within 90 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support via mail, phone, and in person.
• Process orders and enter data into the system.
• Reference pricing and delivery information.
• Respond to questions, complaints, and requests from customers.
• Perform word processing, filing, and other clerical duties.
• Manage paperwork for auction day and obtain necessary approvals.
• Follow established procedures under supervisor guidance.
• Open to learning forklift titling.
• Assist with other office tasks as needed.
• Record vehicle check-in data and organize files for vehicles at the facility.
• Detail vehicles to improve auction appearance and value.
• Safely move vehicles around the facility using standard equipment.
• Guide visitors to appropriate staff for assistance.
• Act as subject matter expert for Yard Attendants, Loader Operators, and CSRs.
• Support yard operations per business needs.
