Job summary

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers is seeking a Branch Operations Assistant in Massachusetts to support customers and the branch, performing clerical duties and yard functions.

The role includes loader operation, data entry, and vehicle check-in to ensure accurate information throughout the sale process. Responsibilities include processing paperwork for auction day, ensuring proper approvals, maintaining vehicle appearance, and assisting visitors.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and clerical duties.
• Willing to learn automobile titling.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Outdoor work in all weather.
• Basic vehicle knowledge and safety awareness.
• Loader operation experience.
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support via mail, phone, and in person.
• Process orders and enter data into the system.
• Reference pricing and delivery information.
• Respond to questions, complaints, and requests.
• Perform word processing, filing, and related clerical duties.
• Process auction day paperwork with supervisor approvals.
• Follow established procedures under supervision.
• Learn automobile titling processes.
• Assist with other office functions as needed.
• Record vehicle check-in data for facility assignments.
• Detail vehicles to improve appearance for auction value.
• Safely move vehicles around the facility.
• Guide visitors to the right contact person.
• Loader operation is required.
• Report policy violations to a supervisor promptly.
• Serve as SME for Yard Attendants, Loaders, and CSR.
• Other duties as needed per business needs.
