Job summary

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, Inc. is seeking a Branch Operations Assistant for our Bowling Green, KY site. The role supports customer inquiries, enters data, and processes paperwork for auction days, while performing yard functions and occasional loader duties to prepare vehicles for sale.

You will ensure accurate record-keeping, assist with vehicle check-in and cleaning, and help visitors, supervisors, and teammates as needed. This is an on-site, full-time position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong problem-resolution skills.
• Excellent professional communication with customers and teams.
• Willing to learn forklift operation within 90 days.
• General mechanical knowledge of vehicle makes and models.
• Experience in equipment rental or construction industry preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills with Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Stay alert to hazards around heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support via mail, telephone, and in person.
• Process orders and data entry into the system.
• Reference pricing and delivery information.
• Respond to questions, complaints, and requests.
• Process paperwork for auction day and approvals.
• Detail vehicles to improve appearance and value for auction.
• Safely operate vehicles around the facility.
• Assist visitors and guide to the right person.
• Lead Yard Attendants, Loader Operators, and Customer Service Representatives as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
