Job summary

Bank of Hope in Lahaina, Hawaii, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee branch operations and ensure compliance while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will supervise tellers and staff, monitor workflows, manage cash operations, and mentor teammates as you work with the Branch Manager to meet branch goals.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in banking with 3+ years in supervisory roles, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of banking experience and three years in a supervisory role.
• English: Advanced writing, fluent speaking; Korean preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational functions of the branch, ensuring compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and support operational staff, including tellers and other branch personnel.
• Monitor and evaluate branch workflows to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
• Ensure proper cash management, including vault operations, ATM balancing, and branch cash levels.
• Conduct audits and reviews of operational processes to maintain compliance and minimize risks.
• Provide guidance, support, and training to operational staff on policies and procedures.
• Resolve escalated operational issues or customer concerns.
• Mentor team members and develop employees for Ops functions.
• Assist Branch Manager with staffing decisions, scheduling, and performance management.
