Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union seeks a friendly, detail-oriented member service representative to greet members, respond to their needs, open accounts, and handle cash transactions across delivery channels in a fast-paced branch environment.

You will balance cash drawers, operate the drive-thru, process deposits and card services, and maintain confidential records while delivering courteous service. Training in other areas may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to exchange currency and process transactions accurately.
• Excellent communication and customer service are essential.
• Fluent English and basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced banking environment with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Handle establishment of new membership, open all accounts, and process changes in accounts.
• Educate members on available services and make recommendations based on their needs.
• Key all required transactions into the Margo system and balance cash drawer with accuracy.
• Balance the vault, ATM, TCD and coin sorter.
• Operate drive-thru window as needed.
• Keep daily and monthly records of vault control, returned checks, Visa gift cards, tickets, forgeries, and coin sorter.
• Prepare, order, and verify cash delivery and shipment once a week.
• Assist members with account problems or checking reconciliations.
• Grant subsequent advances on existing credit lines after consulting with an officer.
• Answer phone, file paperwork, scan documents into Image System, and perform other clerical duties.
• May begin training in other areas of branch operations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
