Job summary

Westerra Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in Colorado to lead frontline operations, coach a high-performing team, and deliver superior member service. This role partners with the Branch Manager to execute branch goals, drive sales, and maintain a compliant, friendly environment for members and staff.

The position requires 4+ years in relevant work, retail branch experience, and supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• External candidates: 4+ years of relevant work experience; 1 year retail branch experience in a financial institution; 1 year supervisor experience preferred; 1 year consumer lending experience preferred.
• Internal candidates: 1+ year serving in an FSR or similar role; demonstrated skills and abilities listed.

Responsibilities

• Integrates the Westerra Experience (WX) into daily branch activities, focusing on building relationships, driving sales, and creating an exceptional experience for both members and employees
• Drives a high-performance culture by helping to create and execute branch and role-specific goals tied to data insights, budget, and strategic objectives
• Consistently meets and/or exceeds monthly sales goals while maintaining stellar service and member experience levels
• Responsible for driving engagement and retention of staff
• Coaches staff on Member Service behaviors and identifies opportunities to help members succeed financially
• Oversees branch operations including scheduling, security, cash and vault management, expenses and general ledgers
• Educates members and employees on emerging technology and digital solutions (mobile, online, ATM)
• Assists members with transactional needs per established processes and service standards
• Represents Westerra at business development and community events
• Maintains confidentiality and compliance with policies and regulations
• Obtains NMLS registration within 30 days of hire and notary certification within six months if not already certified
• Performs other duties as assigned
