Job summary

Needham Bank is seeking a Branch Manager in Newburyport, MA, to oversee branch performance and grow deposits through relationship management and community engagement. The role emphasizes coaching staff, driving sales of NB products, and maintaining high service standards across the team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking, a track record of leadership, and the ability to build relationships with customers and prospects while ensuring compliance and a positive customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/education required.
• 5+ years' experience as a successful branch manager.
• 5+ years of management and/or leadership experience.
• Extensive background in bank operating policies and procedures, banking regulations (state and federal).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Primary focus on business development and relationship building through promotion of NB products and services to customers and prospects in the community.
• Identify and facilitate lending opportunities with new and existing customers; consumer and business.
• Develop strong relationships with existing customers; establish and maintain a network of contacts in market area to find prospect leads and generate referrals.
• Actively involved in coaching and development of branch staff to ensure consistent, measurable results.
• Conduct performance evaluations, recommend salary/bonus adjustments; counsel/discipline employees when needed; coordinate branch staff training when needed.
